Join the Freedom Home Care Team

At Freedom Home Care, you’re more than an employee, you’re part of a close-knit team that is passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of older Australians and people living with disability.

As a locally owned and operated provider, we pride ourselves on delivering personalised, flexible, and responsive care that helps people remain independent in their own homes.

We are committed to supporting our team members with ongoing training, opportunities for career development, and the guidance of experienced colleagues who value collaboration, respect, and compassion. If you are someone who enjoys helping others and wants a role where your contribution is recognised and appreciated, we would love to hear from you.

What this role involves

Our support workers provide a wide range of services, including personal care, social support, transport, meal preparation, and domestic assistance.

Domestic assistance is not an occasional task, it is a core service we provide and an essential part of helping our clients remain safe, healthy, and independent in their own homes.

Tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy home environment are just as important as personal care and other support services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or an equivalent qualification

  • A current First Aid Certificate

  • A current driver’s licence

  • A current National Police Check, or the willingness to obtain one

  • A genuine passion for supporting people in the community with their daily living needs

  • A willingness to perform domestic assistance duties to a high standard and understand their importance in supporting client wellbeing

  • The ability to remain calm, respectful, and compassionate when working with challenging behaviours

  • An understanding of individual needs and a commitment to providing person-centred support

  • Flexibility, reliability, and a consistent approach to your work
